Jennifer Garner, a Charleston, West Virginia native, is a Golden Globe, Screen Actor's Guild, and People's Choice Award winning actress for her performance in "Alias." Over the course of the show's five-season run, Garner was nominated four times for an Emmy, four times for a Golden Globe and twice for a Screen Actor's Guild Award for her portrayal of 'Sydney Bristow.'
Garner recently worked on New Line Cinema's "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past", opposite Matthew McConaughey for director Mark Waters.
Garner will soon begin production on the Warner Brothers comedy "This Side of the Truth". The script was penned by Ricky Gervais (who is also set to star and direct) and Matthew Robinson. "This Side of the Truth" also stars Jonah Hill, Christopher Guest, Tina Fey and Rob Lowe.
Garner was most recently seen in the Academy Award nominated Fox Searchlight film "Juno" which won an abundance of awards including a Broadcast Film Critics Association and Independent Spirit Award for "Best Comedy" and "Best Feature Film" respectively.
Garner recently received rave reviews for her recent role as 'Roxanne' in the 2007 Broadway production of "Cyrano de Bergerac" opposite Kevin Kline. The New York Times said, "Jennifer Garner has impeccable timing. She makes 'Roxanne' a girl worth pining over."
In 2005 Garner started her own production company with her personal assistant of many years, Juliana Janes. The company, Vandalia Films, is named after the original name for the state of West Virginia, where Jennifer is from. Vandalia Films has five projects in development: "Be With You" for Warner Bros.; "Arranged" for Warner Bros.; "Sabbatical" for Disney, "Devil in the Junior League" for Universal; "Garden of Last Days" which is a book from Andrew Dubus III (author of House of Sand and Fog) and "3 Days in Europe" alongside Hugh Jackman and John Palerno of Seed Productions.
Garner's film credits include Universal Pictures' "The Kingdom", Columbia Pictures' "Catch and Release", Revolution Studios' smash hit "13 Going On 30", Twentieth Century Fox's Blockbuster hit "Daredevil", the spin-off of Fox's Daredevil entitled "Elektra", "Pearl Harbor" and the 20th Century Fox comedy, "Dude Where's My Car?"
Her television credits include a starring role in both the Jennifer Love Hewitt drama "Time of Her Life", and a recurring role on "Felicity."
Jennifer was recently named a brand ambassador for the Neutrogena Brand. She is currently featured in both their national TV and print campaign.
Garner has also participated in much off-screen work as a volunteer for many charitable organisations. She is an advocate for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and is also tied to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Women's Cancer Research Fund. This past summer, Jennifer dedicated her time to the Children's Defense Fund and visited with victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Garner was born in Houston, raised in West Virginia, and currently resides in Los Angeles with her family.
